Strategy and Business Development

Developing and implementing the Pet Insurance business strategy
Identifying business development opportunities and new partnership models
Analysing market trends and recommending strategic directions for product development
Contributing to the definition of business objectives and monitoring the performance of the Pet Insurance business

Product Development Collaboration

Representing the business needs of the Pet Insurance business throughout product development
Working closely with product owners and product teams to define policy coverage, value added services and the strategic direction of the product offering
Providing market insights, analysis and recommendations to support product development
Participating in the implementation of new products and product enhancements

Building Organisational Capabilities and Expertise

Building and developing the organisation's internal capabilities in pet insurance
Developing expertise in the veterinary sector, treatment models, the cost of veterinary care and international best practices
Developing standards, guidelines and supporting materials for sales, customer service, claims handling and product teams
Organising training sessions, workshops and educational programmes for employees
Serving as the organisation's subject matter expert on pet insurance

Sales Support

Coordinating activities to support product launches across sales channels
Building product knowledge across sales channels
Developing training materials and sales support tools
Working closely with the sales network, brokers and distribution partners to improve sales performance
Analysing market feedback and providing recommendations to the teams responsible for product development

Business Partnerships

Establishing and developing partnerships with veterinary clinics, veterinarians, veterinary practice networks, telemedicine providers and other partners across the pet care ecosystem
Developing partnerships that enhance the value proposition for customers and support the growth of the Pet Insurance business

Post-Sales Support and Claims Handling

Supporting the development of post-sales customer service processes
Providing expert support for the claims handling process
Coordinating collaboration with veterinary professionals acting as claims consultants
Developing standards and best practices for the assessment of veterinary documentation
Working closely with operations teams to improve process quality and efficiency

Leadership and Collaboration

Coordinating and collaborating across the business units involved in the development of the Pet Insurance business
Representing the company at industry events

A university degree
Professional experience in the Pet Insurance business, knowledge of the pet insurance market, its business models and market trends
Experience in developing new business areas, driving sales growth, and launching new products and services in domestic and international markets
Knowledge of the veterinary sector, animal treatment pathways, and the factors influencing the cost of veterinary care
Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners across the veterinary and pet care sectors
Strong partnership development and negotiation skills
Ability to make data-driven decisions based on business analysis
Experience gained in organisations developing or managing pet insurance businesses in mature markets (e.g. the UK, Sweden, France or Germany), or experience in launching and scaling new business lines within the insurance sector
Willingness to relocate to Poland (Warsaw or Wrocław)
Fluent English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with international partners and leverage global expertise in the pet insurance market
