For our client, a global leader in the chemical industry, we are looking for an experienced Content Strategist to join a large-scale digital transformation initiative. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the content strategy across a global digital ecosystem, ensuring content aligns with business objectives, delivers a consistent user experience, and effectively engages target audiences.
You will work closely with cross-functional business, marketing, and technical stakeholders to establish scalable content governance, optimize digital content operations, and support the evolution of modern digital platforms powered by a headless CMS.
Senior Content Strategist (Headless CMS & Digital Experience)
Your responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with business goals and user needs.
- Define content standards, governance processes, workflows, and success metrics in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Establish and maintain content governance policies covering the entire content lifecycle, including review, approval, maintenance, and archiving.
- Continuously improve content quality, consistency, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with business, marketing, and technical teams to deliver content initiatives aligned with organizational objectives and brand guidelines.
- Design and implement scalable content structures within the CMS environment.
- Ensure consistent messaging across digital channels and customer touchpoints.
- Provide guidance and best practices on content governance and content management.
- Monitor content performance and analyze KPIs to identify optimization opportunities.
- Support the complete content lifecycle, from planning and creation through maintenance, optimization, and retirement.
- Promote a data-driven approach to improve content effectiveness and user engagement.
- Manage and optimize content processes within a headless CMS environment.
- Maintain content models, taxonomy, and metadata standards to enable content reuse and scalability.
- Conduct regular audits of content governance processes and CMS usage.
- Support the implementation of new digital platforms while ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless CMS integration and platform performance.
- Deliver onboarding sessions and training for content authors and business users.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements where appropriate.
Our requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in content strategy, content governance, and digital content management.
- Strong knowledge of web content best practices, including SEO, accessibility, UX, and content design.
- Proven experience collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups and leading complex content initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with headless CMS platforms and modern content management practices.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Experience making data-driven decisions and effectively prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
