We are looking for a Senior SAP Techno-Functional Consultant to support the development and integration of enterprise procurement solutions within the Demand to Pay (D2P) value stream.

The role focuses on the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle, particularly indirect procurement, bridging business requirements and technical implementation. You will work with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and external Source-to-Pay platforms, ensuring seamless system integration, reliable data exchange, and efficient procurement processes.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to design sustainable solutions, lead requirements engineering activities, and oversee integrations, testing, and deployment.

SAP Techno-Functional Consultant

Your responsibilities

  • Lead requirements-gathering workshops and translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and technical workflows.
  • Design and improve procurement solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and external Source-to-Pay platforms, such as GEP SMART.
  • Define and review functional and technical specifications, including WRICEF objects, with a focus on interfaces and integrations.
  • Design and manage integrations using SAP Integration Suite / CPI, SAP BTP, Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG), and middleware solutions such as MuleSoft.
  • Define field-level data mappings and transformations for Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts, Invoices, and Supplier Master Data.
  • Work with REST/SOAP APIs, IDocs, cXML, OData, JSON, XML, and other data exchange formats.
  • Establish interface monitoring, error-handling, and troubleshooting processes using SAP Application Interface Framework (AIF) or similar tools.
  • Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and System Acceptance Testing (SAT), as well as cutover and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Master Data, IT Architecture, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Manage change requests, release activities, and production stability while ensuring compliance with internal standards and applicable regulations.
  • Define performance indicators, optimize integration performance, and contribute to solution architecture, implementation planning, and continuous improvement.

Our requirements

  • 6–8+ years of experience in SAP techno-functional consulting, ideally within procurement and enterprise integration projects.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP MM and SAP Sourcing & Procurement, including hands-on experience with both SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC.
  • Solid understanding of indirect procurement and the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes.
  • Proven experience integrating SAP ERP systems with external procurement, sourcing, or contract lifecycle management platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of integration architecture, patterns, and middleware solutions, such as MuleSoft, SAP Integration Suite / CPI, SAP BTP, or CIG.
  • Hands-on experience designing and consuming REST/SOAP APIs, working with API gateways, and enabling secure data exchange.
  • Experience with data mapping, transformation, and ETL processes, using formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, and EDI.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications and implementation plans.
  • Understanding of SAP master data and cross-module dependencies, particularly SAP FI/CO, PM, and SD.
  • Experience with integration testing, defect resolution, change management, and production deployments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an agile environment and manage multiple initiatives in parallel.
