Zakres obowiązków

Key Responsibilities
  • SQL Server Upgrade Projects (2012/2016/2019/2022)
    • Assist in side-by-side and online migrations.
  • Cloud Database Projects
    • Support migrations to AWS RDS/Aurora and Azure SQL/PostgreSQL.
    • Implement basic HA and backup configurations.
    • Contribute to automation scripts for provisioning and deployment.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with developers, architects, and DevOps teams to deliver database components.
    • Participate in project planning and provide input on timelines and risks.


Wymagania

Required Skills
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Practical experience with SQL Server administration and upgrades.
  • Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS & SSAS management.
  • Familiarity with cloud database services ( AWS/Azure ).
  • Basic scripting skills ( PowerShell, Bash, or Terraform ).
  • Monitoring with SCOM, CloudWatch & Datadog.
  • NoSQL basic skills ( MongoDB, DynamoDB ).
  • Knowledge of other DBMS is an asset ( DB2 LUW, Oracle, Snowflake, My SQL )
  • GitHub. MS Visual Studio.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Hands-on involvement in at least one SQL Server upgrade project and one cloud migration initiative.
  • Certifications (optional):
    • Microsoft SQL Server DBA
    • AWS/Azure Fundamentals
    • PostgreSQL Essentials

  • Learning Agility: Comfortable with new tools (ex. data integration - Qlik, backup tools - Cohesity) and cloud technologies.
  • Project Orientation: Focused on deliverables, timelines, and documentation rather than day-to-day support.
